Tie-on strands are very durable, however, excessive tugging may cause them to break over time. This strand must be cut with scissors to be removed.
Elastic Strands are durable and oftentimes convenient, however, excessive tugging will cause wear on the string and will also break over time. This strand can be removed with barrel clasp.
